The indicators in the Macroeconomic Imbalance Procedure (MIP) Scoreboard are used to identify emerging or persistent macroeconomic imbalances in a country. The Scoreboard is a part of an annual exercise, where the first step is the compilation of an Alert Mechanism Report. This report draws its information from, especially, the MIP Scoreboard data. The data used in the Alert Mechanism Report are 'frozen' close to the publication
