Since 1999, Eurostat publishes the government deficit and debt figures that Member States notify to the European Commission by end-March and end-September of each year. The Press Releases also publish government revenue and expenditure data as reported in ESA 1995 Transmission Programme Table 0200.
Since February 2012, Eurostat publishes also a news release with quarterly data on government debt providing information on short term trends in government debt for the euro area, the EU and the Member States. This news release will systematically be published every quarter towards the end of the months of January, April, July and October.
