Quarterly Financial Accounts of General Government (QFAGG)
Eurostat has published the first quality report on quarterly financial accounts of general government (cut-off date of 15 March 2006). The Report has two annexes attached:
Annex 1 and
Annex 2,
which were not a subject to adoption by the Commission. The report and annexes were discussed and broadly agreed by the members of the Task Force on QFAGG. Regulation No 501/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council requires the Commission to submit to the European Parliament and the Council a report on assessment of the quality and reliability of QFAGG data delivered by Member States. The Report was adopted by the Commission on 3 May 2007.
Eurostat has updated in July 2008 this quality report on quarterly financial accounts of general government (with data transmitted at end March 2008) in order to take into account the experiences and improvements since the first quality report.
Short Term Public Finance Statistics (STPFS)
Eurostat has published the first quality report on quarterly government revenue and expenditure (cut-off date by September 2005). This Report includes a summary of conclusions and recommendations by country. It was discussed (in more complete form together with qualitative information) and agreed in broad terms with the members of the Working Group on STPFS. Regulation No 1221/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council stated that the Commission should submit to the European Parliament and the Council a quality report, containing an assessment of the reliability of STPFS data delivered by Member States. The Report was adopted by the Commission on 26 June 2006.
