A technical dialogue between Eurostat and Statistics India is at the stage of initiation. The dialogue in statistics is mentioned in the EU/Indian Joint Action Plan adopted by the EU/India summit in September 2008.
The general objective of the dialogue consists in creating links and increasing exchange between the statistical services of the EU and India, in order to foster coordination in statistical methodology and research on social and economic data.
China
A technical dialogue EU- People's Republic of China will be launched to strengthen their statistical system and to build capacities in the framework agreement on partnership and cooperation.
This will be focused to high priorities in statistical areas, amongst which trade statistics.
