The ESSC will be holding its 15th meeting on the 15th of November 2012. During this meeting the ESSC members will be voting on four comitology items, instances of which are the adoption of the programme of ad-hoc modules for the labour force sample survey for 2016-2018, the implementation of the Regulation (EU) 1051/2011 as regards the micro-data files for the transmission of data, and the Commission Regulation implementing Regulation 220/2009 on European Statistics concerning access to confidential data for scientific purposes.
The ESSC members will be also asked their opinion on a number of items, including on the strategic priorities for the 2014 Annual Work Programme and the revised rules of procedure for the Committee. Another point for opinion concerns the ESS VIP Programme, which proposes the very basis for eventual corporate developments in the ESS in the next five years.
During the 15th ESSC meeting, the new round of peer reviews will also be up for discussion. In accordance with the 2008 Commission report, this item will focus on the discussion of proposals on how the next round of peer reviews will be implemented as from 2013.
