Total general government revenue is all the income a government receives.

Total general government revenue is defined according to Commission Regulation (EC) No 1500/2000 of 10 July 2000 on general government expenditure and revenue. It comprises the following categories of the European System of Accounts 1995 (ESA 95):
- market output
- output for own final use
- payments for the other non-market output
- taxes on production and imports
- other subsidies on production, receivable
- property income
- current taxes on income, wealth, etc.
- social contributions
- other current transfers
- capital transfers
