Wholesale trade refers to the sale of goods in bulk to resellers, professional users or groups, who then sell the products to final consumers.
The following types of wholesale groups are included in NACE Rev. 1 Division wholesale trade and commission trade:
- wholesale on a fee or contractual basis
- wholesale of agricultural material or raw animals
- wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco
- wholesale of household goods
- wholesale of non-agricultural intermediate products, waste and scrap
- wholesale of machinery, equipment and supplies
- other wholesale (except for motor vehicles and motorcycles)
