From Statistics Explained
The Statistical themes and subthemes used in Statistics Explained are similar to the ones used for Eurostat's publications and website; they have a numerical code for convenience only.
They are Eurostat's nomenclature of statistical dissemination products and one of the possible groupings of statistical articles and background articles. They do not necessarily reflect the administrative organisation of Eurostat into Units, nor the groupings of statistics in line with policy priorities that usually cut across themes and are liable to change with those policies ('Policy indicators' or 'Key indicators' such as 'Sustainable development indicators').
Policy indicators, although not constituting a statistical theme in the strict sense, were added in this overview for the sake of completeness.
